Woodlands Elementary School

Student and family safety during arrival and dismissal is our top priority. As our school community grows, everyone needs to do their part to keep these times safe and efficient.

The roads around Woodlands are narrow with limited sidewalks, so please take extra care during drop-off and pick-up:

• After drop-off or pick-up: Follow the circle drive back to Erie Parkway to return to Cleveland Road
• Walkers: Use the walkway connecting Maple Avenue with Catalpa Drive. Catalpa is a dead-end street with minimal car traffic, making it much safer for walking
• Always use designated crosswalks and encourage students to follow the safest route to and from school

Bike, Scooter, and E-Bike Safety

For students who ride to school, safety and following local laws are essential:

• Lights (required by law): All bikes and e-bikes must have a front white light and rear red light or reflector during low-light conditions
• Helmets (strongly encouraged): Students should wear a properly fitted helmet every time they ride
• One rider only: For everyone's safety, only one rider per bike, scooter, or e-bike
